SHOPS AND CURRENCY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM - 4TH LEVEL A PROJECT

Hello again dear friends:

Our students (4th Level A) have done a project about shops and currency in the United Kingdom. They have review the vocabulary related to shops and money. Using their creativity, they have drawn some products and written their prices. Also, they have played with real currency from the UK (coins and notes). They enjoyed the experience. The text was: "Excuse me, how much is it? It is .... pounds and ... pence"

GRAMMAR - THERE IS AND THERE ARE

Students (6th level) have done their works about the uses of “There is” and “There are” in affirmative, negative and interrogative forms. All of them were very good, but I have decided to upload only the best. These were done by: Albert Giner, Mary Boronat, Anne Andreu, Peter Soto and Alice López.

THERE IS AND THERE ARE - AFFIRMATIVE, NEGATIVE AND INTERROGATIVE FORMS - ESSAY UNIT 4

Hello again dear friends!

As you know, students (6th level) are learning the use and structures of “There is a/an…” “There are some…” “There isn’t a/an…” “There aren’t any…” “Is there a/an…?” “Are there any…?” This is the reason why I’ve decided they will have to write a brief essay using a picture (the picture they want) and the deadline will be next 1^st February (Wednesday). They have to write 3 examples of each kind: 6 affirmatives (3 singulars and 3 plurals), 6 negatives (3 sing. and 3 plu.), and 6 interrogatives (3 sing. and 3 plu.) Here they are an example of each one I’ve done as an example.

Affirmative sentences:

• There is a bed in the corner of the room.
• There are two pens (yellow and green) on the floor of the room.

Negative sentences:

• There isn’t a monster sat in the room.
• There aren’t any rabbits on the floor of the room.

Interrogative sentences:

• Is there one schoolbag in the room?
• Are there any pictures on the wall?
