PEOPLE FROM THE PAST - PAST SIMPLE

Who was Andersen? And Cleopatra? This is the starting point of our Project “People from the past”. Students (6th level) will investigate about people from the past and then, they will have to do a brief summary of their lives. Why were they important for? What did they do? It deals with the grammar (past simple) they are learning about.

PAST SIMPLE - REGULAR VERBS

Hello again dear friends!

The following links refer to “Past simple – regular verbs”. Students (6th level) are studying the Past simple, but the regular ones. They have learnt that the structures are:
  • Affirmative sentences:   Subject + Verb + ed + Complements.
  • Negative sentences:      Subject + did not (or didn’t) + Verb (Inf.) + Complements.
  • Interrogative sentences: Did + subject + Verb (Inf.) + Complements + ?
  • Useful words can be: last week/day/month/year, a month/year ago, in (past years), and yesterday.
